Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Now Available in Kennebec County! Free Books for Children 0-5!

We are utterly delighted to announce that Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Kennebec County has launched! The Imagination Library puts books into the hands and hearts of children worldwide.

What is The Imagination Library?
It is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children:

• Ages: Birth to Age Five

• One book per month

• Up to 60 books per child program

• No eligibility criteria (income, otherwise)

There is no cost to Kennebec County families to receive one marvelous book by mail per month for each child ages 0-5! Yes, you are reading this right! Free books for your child(ren)!

Literacy Volunteers of Kennebec, the Maine State Legislature, and the Maine State Library are together making Dolly Parton's Imagination Library operational in Kennebec County. Bailey Public Library, Gardiner Public Library, Lithgow Public Library, and  Waterville Public Library are significant partners in bringing this program to families with young children in our county! To ensure we reach all children 0-5 in Kennebec County, additional donors and local funding partners are needed to sustain this program.
